At this moment ,United States has more than 800 water parks and keep increasing more than 10 water parks every year.

Comparing to the population ,fast-growing per capita income and the highly development of the requirement of people ,apparently , China has a very broad potential to be tapped .

Corresponding to the rapid increase in the number is the rapid expansion of the construction area. According to statistics,the construction area of water park in China is closed to  6,000 mu (1 mu ≈ 666.7 m2) before 2010,but during 2010 to 2015,it reach 35,000 mu, which was more than 5 times the previous construction area,and the quantity will reach more than 600 water parks by the end of 2017.

From the perspective of development stage, China’s water parks are in a stage of rapid development. It is characterized by rapid growth in quantity, larger and larger scale, geographically close to developed big cities, mainly to meet the leisure and entertainment needs of families and local markets, and to be supported by the rapid growth of the middle class and the rapid development of urbanization.
